Costa Rica, is the Southern most Republic that consist Central America extend from eight to eleven degrees north altitude and among eighty-three and eighty-six degree west longitude.Costa Rica , located in the center of the inter-tropical zone 10 degree north of the equator.This zone is known as the "Hot Zone" due to its warm temperature all through.It is also situated on the North American Continent, on the Central American Isthmus. It is Six hours journey of Greenwich.
Their boundaries are natural, conservative and mixed.On the east and northeast it's surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, and on the west and south by the Pacific Ocean.
Costa Rica boundary with Panama. This boundary issue go unsettled for many years, while Costa Rica, claiming it as part of its territory the littoral of Chiriqui Lagoon. However, to end the dispute , Costa Rica and Columbia submit the matter for French President Loubet to decide, but he recommended an vogue edge that was failed to resolve the issue. When Panama was recognized as republic, the matter was submitted to the Chief Justice of the United States, Edward Douglas White, who offered his decision on September 12, 1914. It satisfied the Costa Ricans but not satisfy with Panamanians.
