Belgium is a small country . It has been a constitutional monarchy since 1830. There are three languages (Dutch, French and German). However, English is widely spoken. The three regions (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels) have self-government in many spheres. Belgium has retained its old-world charm in the preservation of its ancient buildings and historical traditions.Here is a fresh idea of themed trip to Southern Belgium: to celebrate the theme of beer in the country where there were once more breweries than churches, a host of special events will be taking placethroughout Brussels & Wallonia. Tastings, beer fairs, open days and beer trails will serve to highlight the many varieties of beer, such as the lambic or gueuze typical of Brussels, or the character, Abbey and Trappist beers produced with the exceptionally pure waters of Wallonia.
Belgium is a west european country with a typical sea-climate. It's never very cold or hot, never very dry either. There is a lot of rainfall, and in spring/autumn there might be rain for days.
